Annual General Meeting Notice

The Annual General Meeting of Shree Rajput Dhobi Samaj – London is to be held as outlined below:

Date:Saturday 30th March 2019

Meeting Time: 6.00pm (SHARP) Followed by meal and social gathering.

Venue: St. Alphage Church Hall, at Junction of PlayField Road and Montrose Avenue, Burnt Oak. HA8 0DF

The meeting will proceed as follows:

• Welcome by the President

• Minutes of last AGM

• Matters arising

• Report by Executive Committee (2018)

• Election of Executive Committee for 2019 (Including Sports Chairman)

• Appointment of Auditor

• Any other business

If anyone wants to nominate a member for any post within the Executive Committee, please forward the nomination (with the nominee’s consent) to the Secretary (Mayur Dusara), by 6pm on Saturday 30 March 2019.

Importance of the Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is an important event in our Samaj’s calendar. A large majority of people are under a misconception that attending the AGM would lead to them taking on a role within the Executive Committee. THIS IS NOT THE CASE! Nominations are only accepted if the nominee provides his/her consent. The nominee’s name is then put forward for election.

We urge attendance to ensure everyone has the opportunity to express and share their views; it also lends valuable encouragement and support to those who are on the committee. Your attendance is a form of acknowledgement for the work the committee have done and would drive them towards achieving even more for the community.

Attendance at AGM is YOUR opportunity to put forward YOUR views and thoughts. The Executive Committee urges all Members to attend.
